Dear members,

Thank you for your patience as we carefully reopen Maryland Table Tennis Center. At this time for our first phase of reopening we are being as cautious as possible. We are only allowing members to come in. We will open July 15th to our members.

Arrival Procedures:

Please look at our updated procedures in the ‘Participation Requirements’ document above.

Coaches are now booking lessons. Please contact the club to reserve lessons. For parents bringing their kids for lessons, parents should not stay in the club.

Mask Use:

If you are not within a court, you must be wearing a mask. This means in common areas such as the aisle way, the front lobby area, the bathroom areas, a mask is required to be worn at all times.

Open Play:

You must reserve a table through our online system 24 hours in advance. Before coming to the club, you must call ahead to confirm that there is an open table. Here is the link:

Each table can only have two players. We will not allow for doubles play at this time. Table can be reserved in 30 minute increments of time up to 1 hour. Open play hours will be from Mondays: 2-5 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 3-7 pm; Friday: 3-5:30 pm; Saturday:  9 am – 4 pm; Sunday: 9 am – 12 pm. There will not be any walk-in open play at this time.

Leagues and Tournaments:

Currently Leagues and Tournaments are paused. We hope to have more information about this soon and a possibility of having a virtual league where we can help schedule meetups at the club or other locations to get matches played.

Bathroom Use:

Bathrooms are available to use, however the showers are currently off limits.

There will be only 1 chair per table on the outside of the barrier which can be used. Please be respectful to arrive and depart immediately before and after your reservation or lesson to help the club maximize social distancing.

Open play will be operating under BYOB “Bring your own Balls.” Balls for lessons will be provided by the club.

This has been a trying time for MDTTC. We will honor the delay of your annual membership expiration date by 4 months for the time the club was closed for the pandemic. In the same time, we have had to keep paying rent to our landlord and had no income stream. It would be very supportive if any members are willing to help the club out by keeping the same expiration date. We would be extremely grateful for your support. We understand everyone has undertaken hardship during this time and we are very willing to also support our members where there is a need.

Thank you everyone for your patience. We hope to see you all soon. Please stay safe and healthy!
